Ben Spies
A professional Road Racer who turned pro in 2000, Ben Spies won
the AMA Superbike Championship in 2006 for Suzuki and successfully
defended it in 2007 and 2008. Ben showed promise with his
wild card rides in MotoGP in 2008, but chose to take a works ride
in Superbikes for Yamaha.
Yamaha were clearly impressed with his performance and Spies
stepped up to MotoGP joining Colin Edwards in 2010. Ben is
producing some inspiring performances for his debut season and is
definitely a rider to keep watching.
